BIO

JoJo Kali is a Greek Cypriot singer, songwriter, musical theatre performer, and vocal coach based in the Netherlands. Born in the vibrant city of Nicosia, Cyprus, she discovered music at an early age and developed a deep connection to the raw power of rock, metal, and, later on, theatrical storytelling.

 

She studied Jazz and Pop Vocal Performance at the Artez Conservatory in the Netherlands, earning her Bachelor’s degree in 2024. With influences ranging from Freddie Mercury and Amy Winehouse to Andrew Lloyd Webber and Stephen Sondheim, JoJo blends powerhouse vocals with emotional honesty and dark theatricality.

 

Alongside performing and teaching vocals, JoJo is currently writing her original musical, "Victoria", a horror/drama musical inspired by the world of Sweeney Todd and Phantom of the Opera. She's also working on her first album with songs written about her thoughts, views, and experiences, and writing and performing music with her rock/stoner project "Hey Jo". Through her music, she invites listeners into a world of intensity, vulnerability, and transformation.
